About our company

Roscoe and Associates, LLC (RA) is a consulting firm dedicated to providing professional, responsible, and respectful cultural resource management services to Federal, State, and local agencies; Northwest California Tribes; and private individuals.

RA personnel have extensive experience implementing and meeting the full range of State and Federal legislative laws and regulations regarding pre-contact and historic era cultural resources including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and California Forest Practice Rules.

Our professional staff are experts in Northern California with knowledge of the local resource types, research topics, and management issues related to the full range of historic resources throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, from Native American sacred sites to historic towns and landscapes.

Roscoe & Associates, LLC partners possess education and experience exceeding existing consultant qualification requirements for Archaeology and Historic Preservation: Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines.

RA staff has the personnel, facilities, and equipment necessary to complete a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner including: project inventory; site mapping; excavation; historical research, identification and management of cultural resources as dictated by federal and state laws; determining eligibility of sites to the California Register of Historic Resources, the National Register of Historic Places, and as Traditional Cultural Places; Ethnographic Consulting; and construction monitoring.

Our office has technical expertise in GIS, GPS, graphics, and report preparation. RA works with a network of associates and colleagues that provide services such as architectural history and historical archaeology.
